American Masters - National Gallery of Australia

From Abstract Expressionism, Colour Field, Pop, Neo-Dada and Photo-Realism, to Conceptual, Land and Performance Art, the National Gallery of Australiabrings us American Masters. An exhibition that celebrates American artists from the 1940s to the 1980s, telling the story of the formation of the NGA’s incredible American collection.

For us, we can’t wait to see Jackson Pollock’s Blue Poles again, the most expensive American painting ever sold when the NGA purchased it in 1973. And of course anything Andy Warhol!

Other artists on display include Claes Oldenburg, Chuck Close, Donald Judd, Eva Hesse and Louise Bourgeois.
